Jody
Hoelle is passionate about storytelling as a powerful way to unite,
to educate, to communicate, and to just BE with people. "For
me, storytelling is a part of my spiritual path, a way of being my
authentic self, and expressing the love that I AM, and that we
ALL are, and which unites all of us as spiritual
beings." In the beginning of time, storytelling was used
to explain all natural phenomena and today Jody teaches educators
ways in which they can adapt storytelling across the
curriculum.
Storytelling is a
healing artform. As Joseph Campbell said, "Myths help us to
realize that we are not unique. They teach us how to resolve
problems, and what to expect at different stages of
life." Jody's students include educators, lawyers,
psychotherapists, children, moms, grandmas, clergy and everyone
else., all of whom want to use storytelling to communicate more
effectively.
Through her daily practice of meditation
and the principles of Vedanta, Jody has come to deepen her
understanding of storytelling and its power to heal our
relationships with ourselves and others.
She is
available for assemblies, workshops in the schools, both as an
educator and entertainer and for a variety of other programs in many
different settings. Please feel free to peruse Jody's website

Testimonials
"Truth, naked and cold, had been turned
away from every door in the village. Her nakedness frightened
the people. When Parable found her she was huddled in a
corner, shivering and hungry. Taking pity on her, Parable
gathered her up and took her home. There, she dressed Truth in
story, warmed her and sent her out again. Clothed in story,
Truth knocked again at the villagers' doors and was readily welcomed
into the people's houses. They invited her to eat at their
table and warm herself by their fire." -Hassidic
