Prophets & Liars is a group of
professional storytellers who come from all walks of life and whose
active members include:
Bridget Burnie
Tucker is a marriage and family counselor. She is
a student of mythology and specializes in folktales. She uses
myths and folktales to teach wisdom with humour.
Lana Smylie is a school teacher with a
Master's Degree in
Interdisciplinary Studies. Her stories enlighten, entertain
and are intellectually and creatively stimulating.
Lana is co-director of Prophets &
Liars.
Elizabeth Anghel is a
librarian who resides in Riverside, CA. She is a folkteller
who originally reigns from Eastern Europe. She brings many
delightful stories to the program and is an enthusiastic teller of
folktales.
Cherie Rouse
is a writer and educator. Her original stories delight
and entertain audiences at Smiley Library every month. Her
presentation is unique and a wonderful treat for all those who have
the good fortune to see her perform.
Jody Hoelle is Director
and Founder of Prophets & Liars. She teaches storytelling
and performs in schools and in corporations throughout Southern
California.
